Ceramic Gyps
Ceramic plaster for moulds
Casting and lathe, for models and matrices in the ceramic industry
Gessi Roccastrada, in addition of producing BETA gypsum (normally used in buildings for the manufacture of plaster and prefabricated products), is the largest ALFA gypsum production unit in Italy and one of the largest in the world.
Alfa gypsum is produced using a selected raw stone, which is loaded in innovative autoclaves and subjected to a cooking process that gives particular physical properties.
They are used by the Gessi Roccastrada engineers to produce high-tech products, characterized by superior mechanical performance and, where necessary, with a high degree of customization to suit the individual needs of each customer.

Gypsum for the production of casting, lathe and press molds in the ceramic industry.
Gypsum is a fundamental raw material for manufacturing molds for ceramic industry, as it has a number of features that make it the best material for these uses.
The characteristic porousity of the plaster allows quick absorption of a portion of water present within the clay, thus favoring the thickening. High hardness makes it possible to make molds that can last for a long time with numerous casting cycles.
Minimum grip expansion allows the production of objects with high dimensional reproducibility.
These features are obtained thanks to the possibility of using ALFA gypsum mixed with varying amounts of BETA gypsum. Best results are guaranteed by continuous monitoring of process parameters together with the strict quality controls performed on finished product.
