In the heart of the largest Italian gypsum field, formed millions of years ago by the coral reefs of an ancient tropical ocean, within an 400 hectares area of quarries and buildings, Gessi Roccastrada is leading in extraction and transformation with a yearly production of over 100,000 tons of high quality gypsum.
Gypsum stones of Roccastrada are distinguished by the high purity and the degree of white. Gypsum, a calcium sulphate mineral, is an absolutely natural, odorless and non-toxic material, obtained by simple gypsum stone cooking. It has been appreciated since millenniums for ease of use and hygroscopic properties that regulate humidity of environments, and it continues to be successfully used in modern building thanks to thermal-acoustic insulation qualities and passive fire protection.

WE ARE THE GYPSUM IN ITALY

Gessi Roccastrada is an Italian gypsum plaster manufacturer specialized in the production of gypsum panels for interior walls, gypsum powder and gypsum products for the building industry. The company stands out for its attention to ecology and green building, offering products with low environmental impact and suitable for the construction of sustainable buildings.

Our products are born in the facility of Roccastrada (Grosseto). Our plant implements certified processes using the latest technology. Procedures for handling, storage and packaging have also been defined in order to defend always the product.

CERTIFIED QUALITY

The Gessi Roccastrada company is certified ISO 9001, providing high standards for services and products.
The "alpha" gypsum, very rare in Italy, represent the flagship of the Roccastrada Gessi Quality System. Extraction and production of gypsum follows stiff controls. All products are also ETA certified according to European requirements with a formidable set of certifications for the most varied aspects.

Dry housing systems are certified for many aspects such as fire resistance, acoustic and thermal isolation, and mechanical resistances.
The purity of the 100% natural quarry gypsum with certified bacterial abatement and the absence of VOC substances, ensure biocompatibility with particular reference to applications in the hospital construction industry.
